Watch this year's virtual Seder below!

What you will need for your Passover Table...

  • If you'd like to use the same Maxwell House Haggadah we use, you can order yours HERE. It is FREE + $3 for shipping
  • An empty basin and medium pitcher of water with a dish towel (this is for the washing of the hands)
  • Two candle holders with two candles and matches
  • 1 cup per person for the wine/grape juice
  • 1 box of matzah (or more depending on how many participants - enough for two pieces per person)
  • *Charoset - See recipe at the bottom of the page
  • Small bowl of horse radish (extra spicy - one jar should be enough!)
  • Parsley (enough for each person to have a sprig)
  • Salted water in a small bowl
  • Grape juice or sweet red wine (enough for each person to have four cups; Manischewitz or Mogen David are the traditional options)
  • 1 medium sized plate per person

What you will need for your Seder Plate...

  • Lamb shank (or any kind of a bone about five inches or so)
  • A piece of lettuce or endive (Chazeret - any kind of bitter herb)
  • Parsley (Karpas)
  • 1 Brown Egg - white egg can be boiled in coffee or tea to make it brown
  • Charoset (apples, honey, and nut mixture)
  • Horseradish (Maror)

Charoset Recipe:

  • One or two apples per person (Honey Crisp or Red Delicious are great)
  • Brown Sugar or Honey (or both if you like things sweet)
  • Cinnamon
  • Walnuts (ratio of apples to walnuts is about two to one)
  • Manischewitz Blackberry Wine (or grape juice if you prefer)

Instructions: Peel the apples then chop them very fine and place in a large bowl. Sweeten with brown sugar or honey (or both!) and cinnamon to taste. Chop walnuts very fine and combine into the bowl with the apples. Saturate the mixture with the Manischewitz (or grape juice) and refrigerate. The longer this sits, the better it gets, so you can even make it the night before!
